Dear Parents,
We are very thankful that the damage in our area this past week was not as bad as it could have been. We were very blessed. Since a State of Emergency was declared, we will not have to make the missed day on Wednesday up; however, we will have to make up Monday. We will do so on Friday, April 14 (Good Friday). We will have school until 12 pm (noon) at which time we will dismiss. I am very sorry for the inconvenience of last week and for Good Friday but the safety of our students must come first. Thank you for your understanding.

2017 PLA Campus Beauty Pageant
The 2017 PLA Campus Beauty Pageant is scheduled for May 8, at 6:00pm in the Pike Cafeteria. The entry fee is $30, all proceeds will go to the PIKE Varsity and JV Cheerleaders.
It is highly recommended that all contestants K4 thru 1st grade wear heirloom style dresses. Grades 2nd thru 12th will wear age appropriate ball gowns or formal pageant gowns.

IMPORTANT: Change of Dates
We will be taking Monday, January 2, as a holiday which means we will return to classes from Christmas break on Tuesday, January 3. To make up the missed day on January 2, we will attend school on President's Day, Monday, February 20.
We are making this change because of the many requests to be off for bowl games and travel. We have no extra days built into our schedule and the board voted to make the change as stated.
We will also change the Elementary Honors Day that is scheduled for Wednesday, January 4, to Friday, January 6.
